I tried PicLens today and I am quite impressed. It will change my way of doing Google search. You launch it from browser and do a google search for images. As soon as you hit enter, it will transform your browser into a full-screen 3D wall of images. Awesome.

It does much more than what I have discovered till now. You can search and fly through your YouTube videos, easily customize previews on a per site basis, minimize the hassle of clicking in and out of unwanted links, reduce Back button clicks and dead link visits amd much more.

This is available as an extension to IE, FireFox, Safari and Flock. You should try it becuase it is simply amazing. To try PicLens click here.

Photoshop Express is the Adobe Systems' latest addition to its Photoshop family of image editing tools. This offers the most commonly needed edits on the Web -- for free -- and throws in a solid range of Web 2.0 sharing features. Photoshop Express is a rich Internet application, which basically means it's an app that provides far more functionality than what most users expect from a standard Web browsing experience.

Photoshop Express UI is really good looking and it offers quite a lot of options: auto retouching, cropping, rotating, red eye removal, white balancing, and sharpening (very important), among others. There’s also a couple of effects available. On top of all that, Express also has a photo organizer, with a solid photo gallery and the ability to connect with social sites such as Facebook, Photobucket or Picasa.

Try it out.

Picaboo

Picaboo is an easy to use program, making it great for novices. Unlike other scrapbooking programs, Picaboo primarily focuses on album creation; with this program you can build an entire album of unlimited pages or just a page.

Picaboo includes 90 page layout templates and supports the ability to attach audio to albums or you can download addition backgrounds. However, their photo editing tools are limited.

Picaboo lacks color and advanced photo editing capabilities as well as a clip art selection, border images and frames. The editing effects available with Picaboo include rotate, zoom in/out or you can move a picture within the frame. It does not include color editing or cropping tools and cannot eliminate red eye. If you choose to use this program you will need to have a good photo editor in addition to this product.

Picaboo makes it easy to share your albums with others through email. You can also include comments and receive comments back through Picaboo.

Photo DropZone 1.1

Photo DropZone is an easy to use system tray tool that allows users to create online photo albums by simply dragging and dropping up to 100 pictures at a time from Windows explorer. Pictures are immediately uploaded to the PhotoDrop.com Web site where users can view and share the resulting albums with anyone.

I've never seen an easier tool than this for creating and sharing online photo albums.

IMatch v 3.6 (Evaluation Version)

Today I tried another photo organizing software and that is IMatch v 3.6. This is not free software but you can download and try the 30 day evaluation version.

IMatch allows you to manage your digital image collection easily and effortlessly. IMatch supports numerous file formats including digtal camera RAW formats. IMatch has interesting concept of keyword which allows you to create parallel hierarchies on top of your images: clients/customers, topic, theme and even cross-relations in-between. IMatch also contains image-editing functionality targeted at enhancing images and preparing them for long-term storage.

Overall, IMatch is a professional quality product — strong, reliable and fast but its user interface is not cool. That is one downside of it.

If you are looking for free software then IMatch is not a solution. It is right now priced at $59.95 and offered by Photools.com.

What about Picasa?

Picasa is another free photo organizing software from Google. It is real nice looking application which offers some cool editing functionality also. One good point which I liked about this product is that you can seamlessly upload your photos to Picasa web albums.

Check it out.
